Final Evaluation of the Multi-Sectoral Assistance to South Sudanese Refugees and Host communities in West Nile (Bidi bidi, Palorinya, and Rhino Camps) – Funded by ECHO (December 13, 2018-February 5, 2019): Mercy Corps Uganda and its implementing partners: Save the Children, Care International, Oxfam International & Dan Church Aid implemented a 21 months project entitled: “Multi-Sectoral Assistance to South Sudanese Refugees and Host communities in West Nile (Bidi bidi, Palorinya and Rhino Camps)” – Funded by ECHO.
The project was aimed at delivering life-saving and protection assistance to
the most vulnerable South Sudanese refugees and host communities in Bidi bidi,
Palorinya and Rhino Camp settlements through 1) General and Child protection 2)
Water and sanitation infrastructure and hygiene promotion 3) Livelihoods and
cash-based interventions 4) Market development, financial services and enhanced
coordination. Governance Systems International conducted the final
evaluation of the project to inform replication of best practices and future
programming of similar and related interventions.
