Building on the ICT infrastructure provided by RTI International in Kayunga District Local Government, GSI conducted community sensitization programs to increase community awareness on issues of good governance, accountability and service delivery. GSI facilitated stakeholders’ meetings and strengthened the newly formed voluntary social accountability committees (VSACs) including carrying out overall project implementation and monitoring. Using ICT and the power of information, GSI increased accountability by improving the lines of communications between citizens and the district officials around service delivery.
