Institutional and Policy Assessment of the Agriculture Sector in Selected African Countries - A ‘Systems-Level’ Deep Dive commissioned by Alliance for Green Revolution Africa (AGRA) from July to October 2018. Countries of Assignment: Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Ghana, Malawi, Mali, Mozambique, Nigeria, Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda and Tanzania): GSI worked with Arête (Italy) to carry out the institutional and policy assessment of Agricultural Sector in Uganda.
The outcome of this assignment will be an assessment of
challenges and articulation of clear gaps that guide the design of practical,
affordable/phased and realistic actions that governments can implement, with
support of other partners such as World Bank, IFAD and AGRA, to strengthen and
build up the sector’s institutional and policy structures/frameworks to drive
inclusive and results-driven agricultural transformation
